Please
read this entire section. We base the approval of a bail bond on
many different risk factors. Each case has various factors and
unique in its own way. One major factor that holds a great deal of
weight with us is FAMILY involvement. You will find that we take
every fact into consideration and help you free your loved one. If
you do not have everything we ask for don’t be discouraged, we can
make exceptions and often times due based on the charges, bail
amount, people involved such as who the signers are and who the
alleged victim is. Please, do not feel that you can not be a signer
because of a certain situation or condition that you may or may not
meet. Sometimes just the mere fact that you are the defendant’s mother has a lot of clout
over a friend that has a $40,000.00 year job.
Basic signer requirements
for Bail Bond
*We
can make exceptions if you do not meet all requirements
1). Be
employed at his/her current job for 3 to 5 years (or transferred
from another like job) and have a good work history.
2). Be a
Untied States Citizen* (If not we will require Property and
Cash Collateral).
3). Know
the defendant for at least 2 years.
4). Live in
the State of New Jersey.
5). Allow
us to obtain your Credit Report. (Not always Needed).
Other info or items we
like to have to make a good bail
6). As many
Family members as we can
get (Mom, Dad, Grand Parents, Step
parents etc).
7). Victim as a signer. If the
victim signs the bail is as good as done!
(Don’t let
the police fool you and tell you that because you are the victim you can not sign).
We
hear this all to many times, they are police let them stick to locking them up. We
are the Bondsman, leave it to us to free them.
8). Property. We do not always require
property, but if you are a home owner it
makes approving the bail easier even if we do not require you to pledge the property. (if you
have a deed bring it with you to verify that you are a home owner).
9). Good Credit. (Not always Needed). Very
helpful, but we have done bails with multiple signers and not that great of a credit
profile.
Tips on freeing the
defendant
10). If you are tight on money, make
bail first then hire an attorney.
So many times
we hear of people hiring an attorney then not having the money to bail the defendant from jail. That is
not the best thing to do
because;
a. The defendant can return to his family and his job if out
on bail.
b. The defendant will be able to better defend and help
prepare his defense while on bail.
c. The defendant will have a healthier look, more clear mind
and better
state of mind when going before the court from home
rather them being transported like cattle from
the county jail.
d. Any hearings will be in person rather then on T.V. Court
Rooms from the Jail.
e. The fees to defend the defendant will be higher because
the lawyer will
have to go to the jail to visit rather then the defendant go to
him.
Also, the jail has limited times and hours to have lawyer
visits.
11). Bring as much
information to the table as you can to move the bail along.
